About Fleck Ranch
Family-Owned Angus Ranch
Our Heritage
Welcome to Fleck Ranch! Nestled 20 miles south of Mandan, North Dakota, our ranch is a reflection of decades of hard work, dedication, and family values. It all began in the 1970s when Les Fleck, fresh off his marriage to Joyce, took a leap of faith and started the ranch from the ground up. With a vision and a passion for ranching, Les began the journey that would shape the future of the Fleck Ranch for generations to come.
In 2008, Les’ son, Aaron, joined the operation full-time, bringing fresh ideas and modern techniques to help take the ranch to the next level. One of the major breakthroughs introduced was the use of Embryo Transfer technology. This innovative practice has allowed us to expand the operation at three times the speed, helping us grow our herd faster, while maintaining the top-notch quality and performance that we’re known for.
At Fleck Ranch, we believe in the power of genetics. Our cattle are carefully bred with performance in mind — always with the rancher’s needs at the forefront. By focusing on strong, high-performing genetics, we produce cattle that thrive in a variety of environments and meet the demanding standards of the modern cattleman. We have tailored our herd to meet the demand of powerful, performance cattle, while also keeping a strong eye on maternal traits, high fertility, and docility.
The Fleck family has always operated with the belief that sustainable ranching is key to preserving both our land and our way of life. We continue to innovate and evolve, while honoring the traditions that Les and Joyce started decades ago.
Whether you’re purchasing bulls, looking to improve your own herd, or simply visiting to experience life on the ranch, we welcome you to join us in celebrating the history, the hard work, and the future of Fleck Ranch.
